THE Borders has recorded 55 new cases of coronavirus in the last day, latest figures show.
According to Scottish Government data published at 2pm today (October 27), the Borders has now seen 8,887 cases of the virus since the start of the pandemic.
There are currently 22 people in the hospital in the Borders with confirmed cases of the virus – nine more than yesterday.
Scotland has now recorded 632,400 cases of the virus since March last year, according to the latest data.
