AN INTERNATIONAL company formed by a Peebles man in the wake of the pandemic to manufacture vital PPE has sponsored local National Hunt Jockey Ryan Mania.

Cameron ‘Cammy’ Young felt the brunt of the global pandemic early on when he tragically lost his father to COVID-19.

Further impacting him, his mother was then hospitalised only one month later but has since made a full recovery.

Having seen first-hand the overwhelming effects of this disease, Cameron decided to put together a plan to make a difference.

In just a few months, it became apparent that the lack of PPE in Scotland and hospitals all over the world was becoming a significant problem and he decided to step in and be a part of the solution.

He founded Envelicus Ltd an international firm focused on the manufacturing of Nitrile and Latex gloves.

Utilizing a factory-direct model, Envelicus has established capacity contracts and partnerships with some of the best factories in the world for global production and distribution.

The Envelicus mission is “Putting gloves on the hands of the people who need them.”

With strong ties to the region, Envelicus decided to sponsor Borders jockey Ryan Mania.

The pair met during their time as common riding principles in 2012 and have remained good friends.
