A 23-YEAR-OLD man has been ordered to carry out a total of 160 hours unpaid work after being involved in two incidents in his home town in the Borders.
William Sinclair, of Coldstream, pleaded guilty to obstructing police officers and running away from them on September 29 last year as well as behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, shouting and swearing and threatening police officers.
Then in the Clock Tower Sports Bar in Coldstream he assaulted his partner by pushing her against a wall, striking her in the face and pushing her to the ground to her injury.
Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said alcohol was a factor in both incidents.
But he claimed the partner had got caught in the middle when Sinclair was lashing out at his brother during the disturbance in the bar.
