BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a drug dealer who was stopped on the A1 in Berwickshire with more than £20,000 worth of cannabis in his vehicle.
Twenty-five-year-old Waseem Ellahi, who gave an address in South Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug near Reston on February 1.
Depute fiscal Alison Atkins told Jedburgh Sheriff Court the drugs were in a number of different bags and blocks weighing 2,409 grams.

She added Police Scotland estimated they had a street value of £21,900.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said it was an extremely serious matter and deferred sentence for reports to see if there was an alternative to custody.
Co-accused Ferrit Shaheen, 31, from Sheffield, had her not guilty plea to the same charge accepted by the Crown.
