A feast of live rugby is taking place in the Borders this weekend.

There will be a huge Borders derby on Saturday when Hawick make the short trip up the A7 to Philiphaugh where they will face Selkirk in the Premiership. Elsewhere Jed-Forest head west to meet Glasgow Hawks.

In the National League Division One Biggar host Stirling Wolves, Gala face Ayr at Netherdale, Kelso make the long trip to Inverness to face Highland and Melrose host Boroughmuir at the Greenyards.

In the National League Division Two Peebles host Kirkcaldy at the Gytes.

In the National League Division Three Berwick are at home to Murrayfield Wanderers.

In the National East League One Duns are in the capital to face Broughton.

In the National East League Two Hawick Linden are away to Leith.

In the National East League Three Earlston host Edinburgh Northern.

In the Reserve East League One Selkirk A face Hawick Force and Jed-Forest A face Stewart’s Melville in Edinburgh.

In the Reserve East League Two Peebles Reds are away to Edinburgh Accies, Kelso Sharks host Gala A in a Borders derby and Melrose Storm are in East Lothian to face Preston Lodge A.

On Sunday Kelso Ladies are away to Annan Ladies.

Elsewhere Hawick’s Lisa Thomson and former Melrose player Ross McCann will feature for Team GB Women’s and Men’s 7s teams in the Dubai Sevens. The group stages will be held on Saturday with the latter stages and finals on Sunday.
