A PASSIONATE piper played for Greenock pensioners as part of their Scottish celebrations.
Big-hearted Russell Young volunteered to entertain residents at Belleaire House to mark St Andrew's Day this week.
The Greenock musician is no stranger to the Newark Street home, having spent the past few years - including during the coronavirus crisis - using his musical talents to entertain.
As well as his performance, the 50 residents enjoyed homemade goodies such as macaroon and shortbread with thanks to activities coordinators Maggie McElwee and Belinda Bradley.
Maggie told the Tele: "Like everyone else, our residents have struggled during the lockdowns, so this was a nice touch of normality for us.
"We had the lounge decorated in tartan and everyone was enjoying Scottish snacks whilst listening to Russell.
"We appreciate him taking the time to come to the home - everyone loves when he visits."
