A BORDERS village is set to host its first live coffee concert.

During the coronavirus pandemic the West Linton Village Centre hosted a number of virtual music events, however, the centre will now welcome a live audience for Twogether Duo.

Twogether Duo, formed of Alena Bulatetskaya from Russia on classical accordion and Huixin Hu from China on violin, will perform a range of numbers, including classical pieces, folk songs, and Christmas favourites.

And in the interval guests can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea with a choice of home-baked treats for free.

A spokesperson said: “The Coffee Concerts series have been made possible courtesy of a grant awarded to the VC from the CAF Tourle Foundation and with the assistance of Live Music Now Scotland.”

Spaces for the Coffee Concert are limited, and tickets can be booked by emailing westlintonvillagecentre@gmail.com or by calling/texting 07718 933725. For those who are unable to attend in person, the performance will be streamed via Zoom. To register, click here.

Twogether Duo will perform at West Linton Village Centre on Saturday, December 4 from 3-4.30pm.
