MORE than 1,000 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders since Christmas Eve, new figures show.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics at 2pm on Wednesday (December 29).
And the data shows that the region has now seen 13,592 cases of COVID-19 since March last year – a rise of 1,101 since December 24.

There are eight people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to the figures.
Scotland has recorded 886,065 cases since the pandemic began.
