SCOTLAND fullback Stuart Hogg has quashed speculation that he is considering a big money move to Racing 92 and potentially linking up with Scotland flyhalf and former Glasgow Warriors teammate Finn Russell at the Parisan club.

With Exeter recently unloading two internationals on the basis of salary cap compliance, it was rumoured that Hogg, one of the club’s highest earners, might also be heading for the exit.

The Hawick star moved to the Chiefs from Glasgow Warriors ahead of the 2019/20 season and made an immediate impact, helping the club to secure a historic Premiership and Champions Cup double in his first year at the club.

He was of four Chiefs selected for last summer's British & Irish Lions' tour to South Africa and last year broke the Scotland try record.

He has made 47 appearances for Exeter in the last two and a half years, scoring 14 tries.

A statement from the club reads: “Following media reports over the weekend that the Scotland and British & Irish Lions back was looking at moving away from Sandy Park at the end of the current campaign, the 29-year-old has responded to these claims with a short and concise statement.

He wrote: “Further to recent speculation about my future, I’m happy to say that I will be honouring my contract at Exeter Chiefs and I am massively excited about the future. My family and I are very settled and I’m keen to win more titles here.”
