MORE than 250 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the Borders in the last 24 hours, the latest figures show.
The Scottish Government published updated statistics at 2pm today (January 5).
And the data shows that the region has now seen 15,593 cases of COVID-19 since March last year – a rise of 253 since yesterday.
There are 32 people in hospital in the Borders with recently confirmed cases of coronavirus, according to the figures – two more than yesterday.
Scotland has recorded 999,324 cases since the pandemic began.
