A 38-year-old man required hospital treatment after suffering injuries following a ‘hit and run’ collision in Galashiels last night. (Sunday 6 February 2022)
The incident took place around 9:30 pm on the A7 Ladhope Vale near to the Galashiels interchange.
The male pedestrian was struck by a small red car which initially stopped but left the scene before the arrival of police.
The full extent of his injuries are not known at this time.
Officers are now asking for anyone with any relevant dash-cam footage capturing the incident or has any information to come forward.
