Traffic Scotland are warning motorists in the Scottish Borders that some travel disruptions are likely today. (Wednesday February 23 2022)
Winds over parts of south-east Scotland and north-east England will increase this morning with gusts of 40 to 50mph expected widely, and very locally as high as 60 mph.
These winds will then ease from the north during the afternoon.
Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.
There is also likely to be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport.
Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer than normal.
Some short-term loss of power and other services is possible
The yellow weather warning is valid until 3pm this afternoon.
