POLICE have issued a witness appeal after a man tried to steal items from a Borders site.
The incident happened at around 8.15pm on Wednesday (March 9) in Burnmill Yard, Selkirk.
The man was seen walking towards the Linglie Road area with a wheelbarrow, according to officers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If anyone has any information or CCTV that may assist this enquiry they are asked to contact Police Scotland quoting incident 3059 of March 9.
“Alternatively If you have any information about this, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers 100 per cent anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form at crimestoppers-uk.org”
