THE council has revealed the roads set to be impacted by upcoming closures in the Borders.

Resurfacing works will be carried out on Halliburton Terrace, Galashiels, at its junction with Magdala Terrace on Monday (March 14).

The route will be shut from 8.30am-4.30pm, according to a Scottish Borders Council (SBC) spokesperson.

An alternative route via Magdala Terrace, Halliburton Place and Halliburton Terrace will be available.

The A707 Fairnilee, north of Selkirk, will also be shut for resurfacing works next week.

The road will be closed from March 16-21 between 8.30am-4.30pm each day, excluding the weekend.

An alternative route via the A707, A72, A7 and A707 will be signposted.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained with minor delays, according to the spokesperson.

Meanwhile, works at Fenwick Park, Hawick, from Weensland Road to Marmion Road will also impact Borderers this week.

The road will be closed from March 14-17 between 8.30am-4.30pm each day.

Parking will be prohibited during the works, according to the spokesperson.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will again be maintained with minor delays.

The A701 at Broughton will remain shut for part of next week after works started on Monday (March 7).

The road will be shut from the school to Kirkbank between 8.30am-4.30pm on March 14-16.

An alternative route via the A701, A72, A702, B7076 and A701 will be available.

Parking will be prohibited on this stretch of road during the closure times, said the SBC spokesperson.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained.
