A 42-year-old woman was taken to hospital by ambulance following a crash involving two cars and a lorry on the A68 road north of Jedburgh earlier tonight. (Monday March 14 2022)
Emergency services were called to the scene around 5.25pm.
A woman who was driving one of the cars was taken to Borders General Hospital for treatment.
The road between St Boswells and Ancrum was closed to allow for an examination of the scene.
Local bus services had to be diverted.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.25pm on Monday, 14 March, 2022, officers were called to collision involving two cars and a lorry on the A68 between St Boswells and Ancrum, near Jedburgh.
"The road was closed while emergency services attended, but reopened a short while later.
"A 42-year-old woman, the driver of one of the cars, was taken to General Borders Hospital by ambulance for treatment."
The road has now reopened.
