A 44-YEAR-OLD man who sent a series of offensive messages to his estranged wife has been fined £425 at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Gary Colborn pleaded guilty to breaching the Communications Act at an address in Kelso between October 2020 and May 2021.
Defence lawyer Ross Dow said the offence happened when his client was having child care access difficulties.
Colborn, now living in Spittal, was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and a non-harassment order preventing him from contacting his estranged wife for two years was imposed.
