GALA Wanderers take on Melrose Wasps on Sunday 27th March in the 2021/22 U18 Scottish Youth Shield with a 5PM KO.

The Borders derby will take place at the DAM Health Stadium, adjacent to Murrayfield Stadium.

And both clubs are arranging spectator transport to the venue.

Gals say that if they sell enough tickets, Border Buses will provide a double decker for all the Maroon supporters!

The bus will be leaving Netherdale at 2:30pm returning after the match.

The Melrose busses will leave the Greenyards at 3:30pm returning after the match, £5 per person.

This event is remain a free event but Scottish Rugby are asking all spectators to ‘register’ using Eventbrite (link below) so that they can adjust their plans should interest peak above what the current plans reflect. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/301042384877

Scottish Rugby have issued the following advice for fans: If you have tested positive for Covid-19 in the 10 days prior to the event, you have been a close contact of someone who has tested positive for Covid-19, or if you feel generally unwell (with symptoms including, but not limited to, fever, persistent cough and a loss of/change in your taste or smell) please follow current Scottish Government guidelines on self-isolation and testing.”

For rugby fans who want to make a day of it, the following games are also taking place at the DAM Health Stadium and kick off at the following times;

Girls’ National Youth Shield U16 | Kick off 11:00am,  Boys’ National Youth Shield U16 | Kick off 1:00pm, Girls’ National Youth Shield U18 | Kick off 3:15pm and Boys’ National Youth Shield U18 | Kick off 5:00pm

The following games will be held on the International (main) pitch and kick off at the following times;

Girls’ National Youth Cup U16 | Kick off 10:45am, Boys’ National Youth Cup U16 | Kick off 12:45pm, Girls’ National Youth Cup U18 | Kick off 2:45pm and Boys’ National Youth Cup U18 | Kick off 6:30pm
