At that point she threw a 20cl bottle of vodka at her ex-partner which struck him in the mouth loosening a tooth.
Shirra-Gibb, of Melrose, later sent him text messages saying she did not mean to hit him with the bottle.
Defence lawyer Mat Patrick said his client "had lost her temper".
In addition to the fine and £20 Victim Surcharge, Shirra-Gibb had a two year non-harassment order imposed which means she can have no contact with her former partner.
