A TEENAGER who was reported missing after being last seen in Peebles on Tuesday (April 6 2022) has been traced.

Officers issued an appeal for help to locate Eltayeb Yousif who was believed to be intending to travel to Manchester, Liverpool or London on public transport.

Earlier this morning officers confirmed that Eltayeb was safe and well and they thanked the public for sharing their appeal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Eltayeb Yousif, reported missing from Peebles, has been traced safe and well.

“Thank you to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal.”
