A 20-YEAR-OLD man who was in charge of a car while almost four times the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road for four months at Jedburgh Sheriff Court.
Alex Scott, of High Street, Earlston, had denied the offence which happened in Gala Park, Galashiels, last July claiming there was no likelihood of him driving the vehicle.
However, he was convicted of the offence and in addition to the disqualification period he was fined £300 with a £20 Victim Surcharge.
