DINGO Dollar, the 10-year-old chestnut gelding trained by Sandy Thomson at Lambden Stables, near Kelso, will be representing the Scottish Borders this year’s Grand National at Aintree.

And he will be ridden by Ryan Mania who won the world-famous race on Auroras Encore nine-years ago.

Odds on Dingo Dollar range from 66/1 to 50/1 depending on the bookmaker but could easily change in the run up to the start.

He was second in the 2021 Scottish National over four-miles and was fifth at Kelso in the Premier Chase at the start of March.

His racing weight is 10-11 and is generally considered to have an outsiders chance.

A field of 40 runners will go to post at 5.15pm Saturday in front of an estimated worldwide television audience of about 600 million in 140 countries.

Viewers in the UK can watch the race live on ITV.
