A 28-YEAR-OLD man will be sentenced later this month after being found guilty by a jury of domestic-related offences.

Joshua Watson was unanimously convicted of a domestic assault while a charge of being abusive to a partner or ex-partner returned a majority guilty verdict.

Watson, from the Kelso area, was also found guilty following the trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court of threatening or abusive behaviour, assault and obstructing police.

Sentence was deferred on the indictment offences until April 28 for the production of background reports and Watson was remanded in custody.

Watson is also charged with two counts of assault to injury, threatening or abusive behaviour and breaching bail conditions.

The case was continued without plea again to April 28.
