THE Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Community Trust continued its support for the Gala Foodbank by making a donation of £100’s worth of Easter Eggs last weekend.
The Chair of the Community Trust Ross Buchan said: Our donation of Easter Eggs to the Gala Foodbank gives us the opportunity to bring a smile to the faces of some of the children in our community.
“From all at Gala Fairydean Rovers FC Community Trust we wanted to say a warm springtime hello and wish you a happy Easter.”
Chairman of the Galashiels and Area Foodbank John Tucker told the Border Telegraph: “The Gala Fairydean Rovers Community Trust have been great supporters of our foodbank, supplying gifts at Christmas and other donations throughout the year.
“And it was a great thrill to receive the Easter Eggs which will be included in food bags which are collected or delivered this Wednesday and I’m sure the chocolate will be a nice surprise for the youngsters and those young at heart.”
