A BORDERS teenager has admitted possessing indecent images of children.

Eighteen-year-old Logan Torrie, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to making or causing to be made the indecent photos and videos at his home in Longcroft Road between January 30, 2020, and June 29, last year.

Jedburgh Sheriff Court heard that almost 400 indecent photos and videos were found on three internet devices.

The offences started when Torrie was just 16 years old.

Defence lawyer Ed Hulme said boredom and loneliness had resulted in his client joining a website to chat with strangers but then it became apparent some people were interested in sending sexually pornographic videos.

Sentence was deferred until May 20 for the production of background reports and Torrie was made subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act.
