A 33-YEAR-OLD man has received a prison sentence of five and a half years following a disturbance in the Borders.
David Adamson was convicted of assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life.
The offence happened in the Hill View area of Coldstream in September 2020 when a 37-year-old man suffered serious injuries.

At the High Court in Edinburgh, he was given a jail sentence of five years and six months back-dated to September 10, 2020, when he was first remanded in custody.
Adamson, formerly of Coldstream but who gave an address in Edinburgh, also received a two-month sentence for a bail aggravation which will be served on the expiry of his jail term.
The sentence for the main offence was discounted from six years.
