A BORDERS swimming pool is set to reopen well ahead of schedule following an “incident involving glass”.
The facility at Teviotdale Leisure Centre (TLC) was shut with immediate effect on Friday, April 22.
Live Borders initially anticipated the pool would be closed for up to three weeks following the incident.
But the facility is now expected to reopen tomorrow (Wednesday, May 4).

A Live Borders spokesperson said: “The pool temperature is rising nicely, but it’s not quite there yet. As the temperature rises we will need to clear some sediment and ensure the water quality is perfect for your return.
“We are delighted to confirm that the pool will reopen on Wednesday. We will be in touch with groups to confirm any arrangements, and bookings are live now.
“Thank you to our fantastic customers and members for your patience, and a massive hats off to the team at TLC for turning things around against the odds.”
