A 45-year old man was arrested in connection with a disturbance on a number 67 bus in Tweedbank this afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted to an incident at 3.20pm.

Police officers attended and a man was taken into custody.

Ambulance staff also attended and treated two people at the scene.

The 67 route runs between Galashiels to Kelso.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a disturbance involving passengers on a bus in Tweedbank around 3.20pm on Friday, May 6.

"Two people have been treated by the Scottish Ambulance Service and a 45-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident."
