BIKES worth more than £30,000 have been stolen during a garage break-in in the Borders, say police.

Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened in Coldstream between 9pm on Tuesday (May 10) and 7am today.

In total five bikes were taken, including a blue Orbea Rise Ebike with black handle bars and Tanwall tyres valued at £5,500; a green Orbea Rallon M10 team limited with orange forks shock suspension valued at £9,000; a blue Nukeproof Giga with red forks valued at £8,000; and a Nukeproof dissent dark grey with chrome writing and red forks worth £9,00.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “In addition two Mavic spare wheels worth £1,000 were stolen. They are day of the dead graphic wheels with skulls graphics along the rim of the wheels and have bright chrome hubs.
