“EXCITING” plans have been announced to improve the site of a Post Office and shop in the Borders.
A community buy out of Yetholm Post Office – which is now operated by the Community Shop – took place last year.
And a big refurbishment of the premises is now set to take place, with the current High Street site to close on Saturday (May 28) for four months.

A Post Office spokesperson said: “A temporary Post Office and community shop is opening on Monday (May 30) to maintain these vital services to the Yetholm community.
“This is based across the road at the Yetholm Youth Centre, High Street, Yetholm, TDF5 8RF.
“The opening hours will remain the same to avoid disruption for the community.”
