THE annual Border Games circuit kicked off at the Haugh in Earlston on Saturday with a full card of senior and youths’ events.

The Earlston event was the first of a series of games throughout the region this summer and the glorious sunshine made it the perfect start.

The main event was the 90m open which was won by Edinburgh’s Tom Bradley running off a 29m handicap in a time of 10 seconds. Runner up was Graeme Armstrong from Edinburgh on 18.5m and David Lauder from Hawick on 13.5m finished third.
