A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been jailed for 15 months after committing a series of offences in Hawick last year.
Michael Brown was convicted of threatening or abusive behaviour, police assault, possession of class A, B and C controlled drugs, and breaching bail conditions.
But Brown, formerly of Hawick and who gave an address in Edinburgh, had a charge of assault to severe injury against him found not proven by a jury at a trial at Edinburgh sheriff Court this week.
The 450-day jail sentence was backdated to December 20, 2021, when Brown was first remanded in custody.
