A RESTAURANT worker from Galashiels who was involved in a domestic bust-up with his partner has been ordered to be of good behaviour for one year.

Guy Thomson, 32, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at a house in Primrose Bank in Galashiels on March 4.

He admitted shouting and swearing and grabbing hold of a mobile phone from his partner during the argument.

Defence lawyer Ross Dow told Selkirk Sheriff Court his client had a record but pointed out he had only one conviction in the past four years.

Sheriff Peter Paterson deferred sentence for one year and told Thomson he would be admonished if he was of good behaviour during that period.

The case will recall on June 12, 2023.
