BACKGROUND reports have been ordered into a Galashiels man who made threats and sexual remarks towards a female pharmacy delivery driver.

Neil Wilkinson, 41, pleaded guilty to shouting and swearing and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at his home in Larchbank Street on May 4 last year.

Depute fiscal Fiona Hamilton said the woman was delivering a prescription to Wilkinson's address.

She tried to to deliver to his home but there was no answer although she could hear he was in.

He then said he was going to kill her and also rape her.

The woman got back into her vehicle and the police were contacted.
