A GALASHIELS man has admitted an extortion offence.
Twenty-six-year-old Keiran White pleaded guilty at Selkirk Sheriff Court to demanding £85 from a Galashiels man by threats which included writing about him on social media and reporting him to the police.
The offence happened in Hill Street, Galashiels, on January 11.
Sentence was deferred for background reports until August 15 and White was remanded in custody.
