THE Earlston Civic week returned for its 50th anniversary after a two-year absence due to the pandemic.
The popular Pet Show was more of a dog show on Monday night.
And even Michael Buble playing at Floors Castle didn’t stop people turning out to support the event.
The duck race also proved to be as popular as ever.
The golf tournament was its usual success with 27 golfers teeing off.
The White Hill race on Tuesday had 24 runners and there were 58 in the Black Hill race, with large crowds cheering on the competitors.
Both races were organised by Jog Earlston.
Wednesday saw Funbox head to the marquee to entertain with more than 200 tickets sold.
There were 21 teams in the quiz on Wednesday evening and the bingo and bowling was well supported as always.
A total of 82 tickets were sold for the OAPs Afternoon on Friday and they were entertained by The Jockuleles who provided an afternoon full of music and laughs.
The Friday night cabaret was provided by Robert T Leonard as Meatloaf and he offered a superb array of songs.
The town’s first float in 10 years joined in the Fancy Dress parade on Saturday.
And many costumes took the theme of the event's 50th birthday.
The week ended with a torchlight procession and fireworks display and everyone had an enjoyable week.
