A MEMBER of the public found a vehicle lying on its roof on an unclassified road near Stow with bottles of alcohol lying around, Selkirk Sheriff Court has been told.
Twenty-eight-year-old Neil Brown from Galashiels, pleaded guilty to being more than three times the legal alcohol limit.
When police officers arrived on the scene Brown was co-operative and uninjured.
The bricklayer said he had made a "stupid mistake" and would not do it again.
He was banned from the road for 14 months and fined £350.
