A FORMER cow shed could be converted into a three-bedroom family home if a planning bid submitted to Scottish Borders Council gets the go-ahead.
Landowner Christopher Brass wants to change the use of the shed at Lennel in Coldstream.
The concrete shed with metal sheet cladding, which when in use housed both cows and sheep, is believed to date from the mid-20th century.
It was used until 2018 when a commercial agricultural operation ceased.
Mr Brass bought the site and the parcel of land in which it stands early in 2019 and he has been using it to grow vegetables for his own consumption.
A submission with the application, from Galashiels-based Ferguson Planning, said: “The proposal comprises creation of the following internal rooms – kitchen and living space, bathrooms and three bedrooms. It includes the installation of both electricity and water supplies to the building.”
