TENANTS at zero-carbon properties in Galashiels moved into their new homes this week.

Eildon Homes has completed the construction of 11 two and three-bedroom properties in Buckholm Burn Court, part of the High Buckholm development site.

Phase one of the development has been built in three separate terraces whilst brining an access road from the A7 up through the site.

The homes are highly insulated, utilising modern heating and hot water technology to make them comfortable and safe to live in as well as being affordable.

Hot water is provided by an air source heat pump and each property has its own private rear garden.

Phase 2 of the development is to comprise of 69 new two, three and four bedroom homes.
