POLICE in the Scottish Borders have launched an investigation into the theft of six mountain bikes, valued in excess of £35,000, which were taken from premises in Innerleithen and Galashiels over the weekend.
Between 8pm on Friday July 29 and 9 am the following morning, three mountain bikes were stolen from a shed in Miller Street in Innerleithen. One of these bikes has since been recovered.
Around 2:25am on Saturday July 30 2022 three mountain bikes were stolen from an address at The Peel, Galashiels.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Anyone who has any information in relation to either of the above thefts is asked to call 101 quoting incident 478 of 30th of July 2022.
“Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
