THE BSW Borders Festival of Rugby takes place over three days this weekend at Mansfield Park Hawick between August 12-14.

The main event will be held on Saturday, however the weekend festival is a spectacular celebration of rugby, showcasing games of all skill levels, and offering food, drink and entertainment for the whole family.

Featuring the Hawick 7s, the second oldest tournament in Scotland, the festival will also include an unmissable line-up of other games and entertainment, from mini rugby and youth challenges to ‘Teri touch’ rugby, women’s matches, and mixed abilities.

With the support of Borders Distillery the club will be hosting Ladies Day alongside the main event, while tickets to the celebratory afterparty are also available.

Ian Landles, President at Hawick RFC, said: "It's fantastic to host the BSW Borders Festival of Rugby for another year. The festival is an excellent opportunity to unite our community and celebrate Scottish Rugby at its finest.

"Events like this have been sorely missed over the past couple of years, so this one will be particularly special, and we’re incredibly excited see some new and familiar faces alike next month.”

Tickets for the weekend festival of rugby are £15 for adults and £10 for concessions – and include a free raffle ticket – while entry for under 18s is free.

Tickets for the afterparty on Saturday night are £10. Tickets for the festival and the afterparty are to be purchased on the day at Mansfield Park.

Ladies Day tickets, which include access to the afterparty, are £35, and can be purchased at The Borders Distillery in Hawick, or from Malcom Grant by emailing mal61grant@gmail.com.

The draw for the Hawick 7s which is also part of the Kings of the 7s tournament is as follows:

Pool A – Edinburgh Accies, Selkirk and Peebles.

Pool B – Hawick, Gala and Kelso

Pool C - Jedforest, Watsonians and Berwick

Pool D – Melrose, Musselburgh and Hawick Force

Pool winners will face off in the semi-finals.
