POLICE in the Scottish Borders are investigating the report of a theft in the Duns area where a sum of money was stolen.
A householder was distracted by males pretending to be interested in their back garden.
During the conversation, they took the complainer to the rear of the property allowing someone else the opportunity to sneak into the house via the front door.
It is believed that the males spoke with an accent of some description and were driving a grey panel van.
Officers are looking for witnesses and/or any information which may help with enquiries.
