A RETROSPECTIVE planning bid has been submitted to Scottish Borders Council for a timber shooting hut near a Borders town.
The hut has already been built on land west of Coldhaugh, Jedburgh, as the applicants, Lothian Estates Shooting Partnerships, had been unaware that planning approval was required.
The existing site is located at a clearing in the woods and is used as a rally point on shooting days that the applicant provides across the estate.
A statement supporting the application says: “This is where the shooters meet, rest, have lunch and finish the event.”
