THE A7 will be closed overnight for the remainder of this week between 7.30pm and 06:00 on the nights of Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August at Boleside.

Transport Scotland’s operating company BEAR Scotland will resurface approximately 1.6 kilometres of the busy road.

A diversion will be signposted between Kingsknowe Roundabout and Selkirk, via the A6091, A68 and A699.

This diversion will add approximately 9.6 miles and 12 minutes to affected journeys.

Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times and local access for residents within the closure points will be maintained when it is safe to pass through the work area.

Emergency services and other relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans.
