A BORDERS man has received a jail sentence of 124 days after committing a breach of the peace at Borders General Hospital.
Jason Lowe, 40, of Hawick, pleaded guilty to repeatedly shouting and swearing and acting aggressively in the accident and emergency department on February 28.
Procurator fiscal Alasdair Fay told Selkirk Sheriff Court Lowe was being treated in hospital when he “kicked off”.

He added: “There were medical personnel and other patients around who had to witness the performance.”
Defence lawyer Ed Hulme said: “He had been brought into the accident and emergency department by ambulance after being suspected of taking a substance. He was confused and intoxicated.
“He does not like attending hospital and does not feel he is treated fairly.”
