POLICE are appealing for information after six “high-value” mountain bikes were stolen during a break-in in the Borders.
The incident happened between 9pm on Tuesday (September 6) and 9.30am on Wednesday in Ettrickbridge, Selkirk.
The bikes are described as one black and white Saracen Myst downhill bike; two Santa Cruz Megatower bikes, one in grey and one in green/blue; one grey Orbea Occam, one grey Trek Fuel 9.8; and one custom dirt jump bike with a green frame and black decals on the top tube.

Officers are now asking anyone who was driving in the area around that time to check dashcam footage.
Police enquiries into the theft are ongoing and officers are appealing to people to think back and consider anything suspicious around the time of the theft.
Police would also be keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around the time and may have private CCTV footage.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 1275 of September 7.
