A WOMAN attacked two police officers after she called them out to her house - but then forgot and fell asleep.

Kirsty McDonald had phoned the cops after an issue with her ex-partner but took valium and went to bed.

Police arrived at the Hamiltonhill property and tried to gain entry but had no answer at the door.

It was unlocked so they went inside and found the 28-year-old, who appeared to be unresponsive.

They tried to rouse her but after five minutes she still refused to sit up and began to shout and swear.

Glasgow Sheriff Court heard last week that she shouted: "Get out of my f**king house, don't you f**king touch me."

She kept shouting and swearing before scratching one of the police on the arm and kicking the other officer.

McDonald, of Maryhill, was brought to the floor and shouted: "You cannae arrest me, you f**kers."

Her defence brief said this had been "a wake up call" for her and a "situation of her own making".

She had, he said, panicked when she was woken by the police and lashed out.

Sheriff Jonathan Guy said: "The officers did not deserve to be treated in that fashion.

"At the time of this incident you had just woken up and were not fully aware of what was going on.

"That does, in my view, mitigate you."

McDonald was placed on a community payback order with 18 months of supervision.
