POLICE in the Scottish Borders have confirmed that a 69-year-old Penicuik man reported missing in Innerleithen yesterday Saturday September 18 2022 has been found.
And he is safe and well.
Officers issued an appeal for help following growing concerns for David Aitken’s welfare.
And they have thanked the public for sharing that appeal.
The good news was announced on social media earlier today.
A Police spokesperson said: “We can confirm that David Aitken, reported missing from Innerleithen, has been traced safe and well.
“Thank you to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal.”
