BGCP Comic moves to take over the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels this Saturday September October 1 after a two year wait. 

An estimated 1500 people are expected to attend the event with 1000 tickets already purchased in advance.

The event which will traders, cosplayers, comics, gaming, props and workshops will be the first event of its kind to take place in the Scottish Borders.

BGCP have organised Comic Cons in Glasgow for several years before branching out to Edinburgh, Fife, Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen and now the Borders.

The event was set to debut in 2020 but had to postpone due to Covid. 

Tickets are priced at £2 with under 10’s going free and can be ordered via the BGCP website and to buy on the day.

There will be workshops that can be purchased such as slime making workshops, Jurassic Class and Design your own Superhero and superhero mask sessions for kids.

Comic fans can expect everything on sale from Comic Books, Graphic Novels, 1st Appearance Comics, Action Figures, Statues, Pins, Funko Pops, Trading Cards, Keyrings, Toys, T-Shirts, Printed Art, Original Art, Mugs, Lanyards, Candles and D&D. 

Attendees will also be able to meet seven foot tall Bumblebee the Transformer, Iron Man, Spider-Man and the Ghostbusters. Attendees will also be able t and play retro arcade machines and consoles for free. 

Galashiels Comic Con takes over the Volunteer Hall, St John Street, Galashiels, TD1 3JX on Saturday 1st October from 10am to 4pm.
