INSPIRED by ex-teammate Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir, Stephen Darby and other people living with MND, former rugby league player Kevin Sinfield will attempt another epic challenge to raise money to support the fight against MND.

Kevin will run from Edinburgh to Manchester via Melrose, Newcastle, Middlesbrough, York, Leeds and Bradford in seven days running over 60km per day.

He will start on Sunday November 13 at Murrayfield and finish at Old Trafford at half time in the Rugby League World Cup men’s final on Saturday November 19.

When Kevin completed his first challenge back in 2020, he was overwhelmed by the support of the MND community, with over 400 people taking on their own 7 in 7 challenge.

And this year he is hoping for more of the same or better.

Kevin, now part of the coaching team at Leicester Tigers said: “One of the incredible things about the challenges I’ve completed so far, is the way they’ve inspired other people to take on their own challenges.

“I really hope my next 7 in 7 does the same. It doesn’t matter if you run or walk, do 7 miles or 70.

“The most important thing is getting involved, to support families affected by MND and fund vital research.

“While the impact we can make as individuals might be limited, when the MND community gets together we can really make a difference and change the story for people diagnosed with MND in the future.”

Anyone wishing to take part should choose their distance and complete seven runs, walks or bike rides over seven consecutive days.

It could involve running a mile every day, 77 miles over 7 days or 7k a day.

Those who sign up will receive a #TeamMND running vest or t-shirt, and also be able to claim a 7 in 7 Reloaded Medal if they raise over £77.
