THE body of a woman found in the River Tweed last month has been formally identified as missing person Michelle Pettie.
The 45-year-old had been reported missing from the Melrose area since Saturday, September 3.
Her body was discovered at Lowood Bridge at around 12.20pm on Sunday, September 25.
Officers say the death is being treated as 'unexplained' and enquiries remain ongoing.
